The 2023-2024 Spring Semester Advisory and External Stakeholders Board Meeting of the Institute of Health Sciences was held on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 10:30 AM in the Diabetes and Obesity Center Meeting Hall. The meeting was chaired by the Director of the Institute, Prof. Zehra Safi Öz, and attended by Deputy Directors Asst. Prof. Fürüzan Köktürk and Asst. Prof. Müge Seval, Heads of Academic Departments, and various representatives from the public and private sectors.

The meeting began with a speech of appreciation by Prof. Zehra Safi Öz, thanking BEUN Rector Prof. İsmail Hakkı Özölçer and the academic and administrative staff of the Institute’s departments. Topics discussed included the launch of new graduate programs, quality assurance and accreditation efforts for existing programs, and increasing collaborative projects such as BAP, BAKKA, TÜBİTAK, EU, and TUSEB in upcoming terms. Additionally, there were discussions on enhancing societal contribution activities—such as raising awareness about addiction to aid in prevention, and examining factors that hinder productivity during aging and retirement—and on planned seminars, symposiums, and projects in cooperation with external stakeholders.

The meeting continued with a comprehensive presentation covering the activities of 2023 and the first quarter of 2024 and concluded with the sharing of wishes and suggestions.
