MS in Mental Health and Diseases Nursing

Ou rgraduate program, which was opened with the decision of the Executive Board of YÖK on 03.08.2016, provides master’s degree program with thesis in the Department of Nursing of the Institute of Health Sciences. When the program is successfully completed and the program qualifications are provided, a Master's degree in Mental Health and Diseases Nursing Science is obtained.

Program Rationale and Objectives
Th eaim of the program to educate mental health nurses at the level of expertise who can use psychotherapeutic practice skills, are equipped with
advanced knowledge, understanding and skills, and are practitioners, educators and researchers to protect and improve the mental health of healthy or mentally risky individuals, families and society, to heal and rehabilitate individuals with mental disorders.

Program Goals
It is expected that students will be able to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care by developing their psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacological knowledge and skills in order to protect and developmental health, improve and rehabilitate mental problems, using the roles of educator, researcher, consultant and leadership.

Content of Program
Mental health and pyschiatric nursing graduate program covers the provisions of postgraduate education and examination regulations.
