The Basic Orientation Program for the 2019-2020 Academic Year of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Health Sciences Institute was held on Friday, September 20, 2019, from 10:00 AM to 3:40 PM in Room B of the Faculty of Medicine.

The program, attended by the Health Sciences Institute administration, faculty members, administrative staff, master's and doctoral students, as well as their advisors, began with an opening speech by the Institute Director, Assoc. Prof. Zehra Safi Öz. Dr. Safi Öz provided information on the introduction of the University and the Health Sciences Institute, university facilities, access to information, and the active use of the library and institute websites.

Following this, Associate Professor Dr. Tülay Kuzlu Ayyıldız, Deputy Director of the Institute, presented on the “Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Graduate Education and Examination Regulation,” Associate Professor Dr. Baran Can Sağlam, Deputy Director of the Institute, spoke about the “Health Sciences Institute Thesis Writing and Publication Guidelines,” Faculty of Medicine Medical Pharmacology Department faculty member Prof. Günnur Özbakış Dengiz gave a presentation on “Ethical Rules and Thesis Writing,” Faculty of Medicine Public Health Department faculty member Prof. Ferruh Niyazi Ayoğlu discussed “Occupational Health and Safety,” and Faculty of Medicine Biostatistics Department Assistant Professor Dr. Fürüzan Köktürk presented on “Basic Biostatistics.”

The meeting concluded with the collection of feedback and suggestions from participants, along with wishes for a productive and successful new academic year.
