In accordance with Articles 4 and 7 of the Regulation on the Organization and Functioning of the Graduate Schools of Graduate Education and Training, our master's program, which was opened with the decision of the Executive Board of the Council of Higher Education dated 06.02.2020, provides Physical Education and Sports Master's Degree with Thesis in the Department of Physical Education and Sports in the Institute of Health Sciences.  When the program is successfully completed and the program qualifications are met, a Master's degree in Physical Education and Sports in the Department of Physical Education and Sports is obtained.

The Physical Education and Sports Master's Program aims to train qualified and knowledgeable graduates in the academic field that our country needs in basic subjects after undergraduate education, to increase the number of lecturers and specialized professionals needed by universities with the graduates it will prepare individuals for academic life. With this goal, the main objective is to train scientists who have scientific thinking, knowledge and research skills, talented, entrepreneurial, dynamic and inter-professional knowledge-coordination base and can plan versatile and interdisciplinary studies. In addition, the program aims to apply a sports sciences education that will provide the most appropriate use of the human factor within the framework of health, engineering and social sciences in order to design systems for efficiency in sports and to develop methods and techniques for training personnel. In addition to education, other goals of the program include conducting research on sports sciences, producing publications on the subject and contributing to the accumulation of knowledge by organizing scientific meetings. In addition, to ensure the development of physical education teachers in primary and secondary education institutions, which constitute the infrastructure of Turkish sports, through master's degree programs, to follow the scientific studies in the world and to apply the changes in their professions, to contribute to the development of students' skills and to bring their talents to the forefront.
