MS in Public Health Nursing

Our program, which was opened by the YÖK Board Decision of 10.11.2021 in accordance with Articles 4, 7 and 5/d of the Regulation on the Organization and Operation of Higher Education Institutes, is a master's degree program in Public Health Nursing with thesis in the Department of Nursing of the Institute of Health Sciences. It provides undergraduate education. Upon successful completion of the program and meeting the program qualifications, a Master's degree in Public Health Nursing is earned in the Department of Nursing.

Program Rationale and Objectives; Public Health Nursing is a specialized area within the nursing profession and generally focuses on the physical, biological, and sociocultural environment and differs in this regard from the perspective of other hospitals and health care facilities. Public health nurses provide community-based services in the home, school, workplace, prison, clinic caring for the healthy person, other community settings, in short,
wherever people are, as well as in health care facilities. The job of public health nurses is to work independently or in a coordinated manner as the first point of care to protect and improve the health of individuals, families, and communities throughout the lifespan and to
prevent disease and disability.
The goal of the Public Health Nursing master's degree program is to educate nurses who are engaged in practice, education, and research in the field of public health nursing and who possess universal academic credential.
