MS in Child Health and Diseases Nursing Program

Our graduate program, which was opened with the Senate Decision dated 29.05.2003 and numbered 2003/06 of our University Senate, provides postgraduate education in the Department of Child Health and Diseases Nursing at the Institute of Health Sciences.
Purpose of The Program
Nursing is a profession whose role and application areas are expanding gradually in health disciplines, not only limited to bedside patient care, but also has important responsibilities in increasing the health of individuals, families and groups in every part of society, protecting, preventing and rehabilitating diseases. In the field of child health and diseases nursing science; A child who has internalized the philosophy of science, has the competence to work in the relevant field of science, is equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills, knows how to access information, pays attention to ethical and deontological rules in his studies, has reached the level of programming and execution of a scientific study, can present and publish his studies orally and in writing, To train scientists at the level of expertise who can assist in the implementation of the course and practice curriculum in the field of health and diseases nursing.
Program qualification Requirements and Regulations
There are compulsory and elective courses in the graduate education program. Issues related to how many credits the master's program with thesis will consist of and the number of courses are carried out in accordance with the provisions of the second paragraph of Article 6th of the General Regulations. The master's program with thesis enables the student to gain the ability to access, compile, interpret and evaluate information using scientific research methods. The master's program with thesis consists of at least 7 courses, a seminar course and thesis, with a total of not less than twenty-one credits. Seminar, specialization and thesis study courses are evaluated as successful or unsuccessful. The master's program with thesis consists of at least 8 courses including the seminar course, provided that it is not less than 60 ECTS credits, and a total of at least 120 ECTS credits, including thesis work. The student has to register for the thesis period of each semester, starting from the semester following the appointment of the advisor at the latest. Provided that the student is successful in the thesis exam and meets the other conditions required for graduation determined in Article 24th, a graduate diploma with thesis specified in Article 10th of the General Regulations is given to the student.
Duration of the Program
 The duration of the master's program with thesis is applied according to the provisions of Article 7th of the General Regulations. The duration of the program is 2 years in total, 1 year of which is lecture and 1 year is thesis. The language of the program is Turkish.
Qualification Awarded
Those who successfully complete the master's program are awarded a Master's Degree in Child Health and Disease Nursing.
